The LaSalle Street Cable Car Powerhouse is a beautiful,designated landmark, initially opened in 1887, in the heyday of Chicago’s cablecar system. We intend to do it justice by restoring the original features totheir former glory and, at the same time, breathe new life into the space.
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, we’relooking for a brand-new Runner to join our team and open our second internationalrestaurant in Chicago.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
- To be part of the team running the restaurant,including, but not exclusively:
oCorrect set up and break down of therestaurant dailyoCorrect set up and break down of FOH kitchenareaoMaintain and up –keep crockery and cutlery tothe highest standardoTo relay and communicate between floor andkitchenoTo deliver food to tables from kitchen in thecorrect manneroEnsure service and hospitality standards arehigh and consistent - A good understanding of:
oProductoPoints of service for the restaurantoRestaurant floor planoKitchen logisticsoFood handlingoFood Hygiene and Health and safety
To be considered for the role you will have:
- Experience working in some ofthe best restaurants in Chicago.
- Comfortable and experiencedwith high volume businesses in terms of both covers and revenue.
- Excellent food runner skills.
- Good product knowledge of food and beverage.
- Highly professional withexacting standards.
